With the arrival of CLAE’s Spring/Summer ’17 collection release, we pick out our five favorite shoes. Picking out just five shoes from their new collection was not an easy task. However, we did make our selects for a well-rounded selection of different silhouettes, colors and styles. Without further ado, here’s our top five choices.
HAMILTON CARAMEL FULL GRAIN LEATHER
We will always gravitate to the closest thing to a boot and the Hamilton nails the look, while also delivering on comfort. We love the choice of materials starting with tumbled full grain leather on the upper, perforated suede accents and leather lining upper and footbed. While some shoes like this can be clunky and uncomfortable, the Hamilton is far from that.
STARYHORN UNLINED BLACK WAXED SUEDE
There’s good reason the Strayhorn remains a staple year in and year out for CLAE. It’s versatility speaks volume about the shoe’s design and looks great in just about any color or composition. It looks especially sleek in Black waxed suede for the Unlined version. We’re loving the tonal look that will go with just about any look you style it in.
BRADLEY CACTUS SUEDE
Also another CLAE fan favorite, the Bradley gets a fresh look for the Spring/Summer season in Cactus suede. The upper features washed suede with a neoprene heel accent. Comfort remains a major focal point for CLAE and they make sure their shoes not only look good, but are easy to wear thanks to the molded EVA footbed and the modern rubber cupsole.
HOFFMAN STEEL SUEDE
The Hoffman offers a bolder look this season with a tonal Steel suede upper that’s sure to turn some heads. It’s a cozy runner perfect for running errands or keeping you light on your feet for a full day’s work. The moisture wicking lined upper and leather lined footbed coupled with a blown EVA outsole have all the makings of the perfect shoe to keep your feet fresh and free of discomfort.
BRADLEY MID MOHAVE PIG SUEDE
Last, but definitely not least on our list is the Bradley Mid in Mohave Pig suede. Much like the low-top version, this Bradley is also extremely versatile and pairs nicely with your favorite pair of denim for a stacked look. The water resistant Pig suede and neoprene heel accents round out a solid design that will look as good on-foot as it does off.
