As we head into boot season, we wanted to highlight one of our new favorite pairs from Thursday Boots, the Cadet. Thursday recently introduced the Cadet to their growing collection and it has been an instant hit. While it has been met with incredible popularity, we wanted to put it to the test as we explored Chicago alongside Francis Kenneth, a men’s fashion influencer with a penchant for style. First Impressions
The Cadet passes the eye test with flying colors right off the bat. It rivals other popular silhouettes with ease and is an easy choice as an alternative to the tradition boot option. The leather upper looks even better in person and Walnut is the perfect color for this model. The Cadet will age gracefully and will only look better with wear. From a styling perspective, the Cadet is easily styled up or down. We love the dapper look as Francis has shown us with a colored turtleneck and cropped pants.
Comfort & Fit
It wouldn’t be a pair of Thursday Boots if comfort and fit weren’t taken into account. Much like their other models, you’ll find a cork-bed midsole that’ll form to your feet over time and provide ample comfort. Other highlights include a studded rubber outsole for durability and grip, while Goodyear Welt Construction makes the Cadet water-resistant and allows you to re-sole them when the time comes. There was no doubt that the Cadet wouldn’t be the right pair of boots as we racked up the miles wandering around Chicago.
Closing
For less than $200, the Cadet is a no-brainer. It checks all the boxes when it comes to deciding whether or not to purchase a pair of boots. It’s made with quality materials that will hold up over time and will just look better with wear. It’s also designed to be comfortable and not just look good so you’re investing in comfort as well as style. Get your pair by clicking here.
